So, I definitely got 3-day ACL tickets a few months back, and have been looking forward to it ever since. Last night, I found out that my hubs' company trip in Dallas (staying at a swank hotel) is going to be that exact same weekend. At first blanch I have no clue what to do. Ideas, anyone? What would you do?

Sell the tickets, buy some for next year. I know it's a hard choice - but it might be a good idea to make the appearance at the company trip (playing an adult isn't always fun, but if could benefit you later).
I agree. It will be easy to sell the tickets since it's a great lineup. Plus, you could possibly make a little bit of profit and buy something nice for you and Kyle. (Or just the ACL live album :).
First of all, why didn't his company consult the Austin Calendar of Events before scheduling this?
I hate to say it, but you've been to his company swanky shin-digs before and know what kind of time you'll have while there. ACL- I'm sure you know what kind of time you'll have there, too (other than a sweaty one). Are there any bands at ACL that you just can't pass up missing?
Hubby time wins my vote.... and I am a sucker for getting dressed up and staying in a hotel with him!
Ugh does this mean we won't be meeting for margaritas?
(In all honesty, it's ok. I'm trying to prioritize 3 events in Texas for October -- ACL, a reunion for my junior college band, and supposedly my HS 10-yr reunion. All 3 are on different weekends in October. Ugh.)
sigh. What's funny is I knew what I was going to do all along, I just needed some support ;) Anyone know someone who needs ACL tix? Kate I LOVE your idea of getting the live album :)
